Before moving to Vienna in 1659, Archduke Leopold Wilhelm formed his art collection in Brussels, where Teniers painted views of the most prized possessions in Leopold's Brussels gallery. Teniers painted several different versions of these views of highlights of Leopold's collection. The original paintings are now spread among various institutions.
