Portrait of Andrew Boorde published in the second edition  of his The Breviary of Healthe (London, 1552) as posted on the web by the Skinner auction house in Boston when they sold a copy of that edition for $11,070 on July 20, 2018. This widely reproduced portrait is one of the better English 16th century depictions of a scholar at his writing and reading desk surrounded by books and writing instruments. This portrait of Boorde as a scholarly monk, as he had been in his former life, was probably intended to add the appearance of scholarly authority to Boorde's book.
