A photograph of Joel Munsell issued as a frontispiece to his catalogue of the books and their edition sizes that Joel Munsell recorded as having issued from his press betwwwen 1828 and 1870. it was highly unusual for a printer to issue such a catalogue; however, Munsell was a prolific writer as well as a printer and publisher.
