On the left side of the image (the verso of the first leaf of the prospectus) we see a pasted on slip indicating that since far more volumes have been published than were announced in the original prospectus for the Encyclopédie Méthodique the publisher has to ask for more money. On the upper right margin we see evidence of rodent damage. Fortunately this does not affect any of the text.
