Emulating Charles Knight's The Penny Magazine, on January 5, 1833 T. & J. Coldwell in Dublin launched The Irish Penny Magazine. The Irish publication emulated the format of its English counterpart, but survived only through its first 52 issues, terminating publication on December 28, 1833.
