Nettracker.com Produces the First Web Analyzer with Drill-Down and Ad-Hoc Analysis

In 1997 Nettracker.com, founded in 1996 by Sane Solutions, produced the first web log analyzer with "drill-down and ad-hoc analysis." Sane Solutions was sold to UNICA corporation resulting in Unica Nettracker, which announced end-of-life and end-of-support on December 31, 2011.

IBM continued Nettracker with IBM Unica NetInsight, a web analytics application that utilized an Extract, transform, load methodology to populate a database that could then be queried using a browser-based interface. In April 2014, IBM announced Unica NetInsight would be discontinued.
