In 1947, in collaboration with Luther H. Evans, tenth Librarian of Congress, Encyclopaedia Britannica Films issued a black and white documentary entitled Making Books. This nearly 11 minute film depicted then-current technology in book production including typesetting from hot-type, make-ready, letter-press printing, and machine binding.
