On November 4, 1467 printers Heinrich and Nicolaus Bechtermüntze and Wigandus Spyes of Orthenberg issued Vocabularius ex quo from the town of Eltville, Germany. With its vocabularies in Latin and German, this was the first bilingual dictionary.
Only one copy survived in the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
