In December 1994 Rolenta Press issued Leonard Herman's Phoenix: The Fall & Rise of Home Videogames. This was the first-ever comprehensive book on the history of videogames. By 2016 the book underwent its fourth edition retitled Phoenix IV: The History of the Videogame Industry. The publisher indicated that the fourth edition contained 1000 color photos. There was also a paperback edition with black & white photos.
