A magazine ad from a 1954 issue of National Geographic magazine in IBM compared relying upon the "Fates" versus  relying upon "Facts". Note that this predates IBM's designation of itself as a computer company. Instead it called itself the "World's Leading Producer of Electronic Accounting Machines." The machine in the picture may resemble the IBM 650.
